Vision 2010
Paul writes to the church at Philippi and says whatever happens in life conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. “Whatever happens” covers the widest possible range of setbacks: unemployment, ill health, loss of friends, disappointment in love, pressure of work, lack of appreciation, disloyalty and bereavement. Whatever happens prosperity and poverty, happiness and misery, victory and defeat, we are to conduct ourselves
“worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
Looking at the earliest picture of the New Testament Church which is found in Acts 2 v 41-47 we find five clear purposes on
which we base our church life.
