PROJECT OLIVER
(Please Sir, can I have some more...)
Keen to support the Church, and get involved in playing a practical part in realising our vision of building a new Church, and to enter into all that God has for you as an individual, and for us as a Church?
If so, then please get involved in Project Oliver.
What is Project Oliver?
The project is designed to help bridge the gap between our existing funding for the new church building and the funds required to build and manage the Church on an ongoing basis. We plan to bridge the gap by undertaking a number of fund raising activities. The planned activities will vary in size and complexity, but may include activities such as organising formal dinners, selling unwanted items, sponsored activities, and offering our skills and talents to the others etc in return for donations. No project will be considered too big or too small…..
Who is needed ?
Everyone (no previous experience in fund raising needed) – there are no restrictions, it is hoped the projects planned will include representatives from every group from within the Church from Oasis through to Honeycomb.
Next Steps / What do I have to do ?
The intention is to establish the Project Oliver Group of Saints (the POGS) which will be made up of representatives from every part of the Church, to initially brainstorm for ideas (for the first couple of meetings at least). Members of this group would then take a selection of activities, and then organise the activity (with the support of their fellow POGS), bringing in support from the rest of the Church where needed.
