Staff Team

Paul and Liz Lynch

Paul and Liz LynchPaul leads the pastoral team and Liz is a fulltime primary teacher. They joined the church in 2003 after leading churches in Bournemouth and Barnstable. They are originally from Scotland and have a married daughter, Pauline, who lives in Worthing with her husband Leon. Their son Craig lives and works in Edinburgh.

Paul is part of the leadership team at Kings. Paul has a desire to see believers inspired to live a life of change and restoration within the communities we live in, resourced by a passionate and intimate relationship with father God. Paul overseas the worship life and community/outreach activities of the church.  Paul is married to Jane and they have three children.

Elle Bird

Elle Bird
Elle is the Children’s Pastor here at Kings and is married to Paul. Whilst studying for her BA Honours degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education, she got involved in New Wine Children’s work. From these foundations she now oversees all the church's activities with our 0 – 12s as well as working in our local schools. She also co-hosts Rock Solid CSW, the New Wine children’s venue for approximately 600 8 and 9 year olds. Elle has a passion to see children step into the calling God has put on their lives, through encountering his Holy Spirit and cultivating lives that are centred on pursuing him. She also has a house rabbit called Parker!

 

Abi Shorey

Abi has recently started leading the youth work at Kings. She grew up in Bath and worked with youth and young adults there for the past three years whilst completing a degree. She is excited to be part of a church and team that are passionate about seeing young people encouraged and supported in their lives and faith during their teenage years. Abi is married to Tim. They have recently returned from spending six months in Uganda working with Revelation Life.

 

Steve Lamb

Steve loves being a part of the church and is passionate about lives being transformed by Jesus. He is doing an internship with the church and is involved in different aspects of church life. He is currently studying a mission module at CML in Watford. He loves football, not only playing but supporting the world famous Wycombe Wanderers.
 

 

Jane Thomas

Jane is the new office manager and financial controller supporting the team here at Kings. Jane has been attending Kings church Amersham since she was born so knows the church and its people well. Having spent many years as secretary to a local GP she is well qualified to undertake this role.

 

 

Elders

Richard and Jane Reynolds

Richard and JaneRichard and Jane first attended the church when they got married in 1980 and the warm and friendly welcome they received then was duplicated when they returned with their family in later years.  Richard loves leading worship at the church on a Sunday and sees this as his other important role in the church as well as being an elder.
 
Richard has dedicated his career to research on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) at Imperial College in London; their sons having followed in his scientific footsteps with David working for a company in a similar area of research, Jonathan gaining a PhD in Biology at Imperial and Pete a Doctor on rotation in the Oxford area with specific interest in neurological diseases.  Their daughter, Chantal, aspires to becoming a paediatric nurse.  Jane has worked in local schools for a number of years in administration. 
 
Spending time with their family is one of their favourite pastimes, particularly sharing a meal cooked by the boys! Their other great passion is travelling and they have recently had the privilege of spending time in New Zealand where God's handiwork is 'awesome'!

Mike and Gill Peters

Mike and Gill PetersMike and Gill started worshipping at Kings in 1980 as a young married couple. They have two children - Hannah, a primary school teacher who is married to Justin, and Adam who is currently working in Hemel Hempstead. Mike has recently retired as Director of Environmental and Regeneration at Dacorum Borough Council. Gill is a self employed bookkeeper.

Julian and Pauline Dagnall

Julian and Pauline DagnallJulian first came to Kings Church Amersham with a friend from the church whilst a student at Oxford. After graduating as a Chartered Accountant, he moved to the area and has been at Kings ever since! He met and married his wife, Pauline, at the church. They have three children, Timothy, Matthew and Elizabeth.

 

Ian and Pam Lamb

Ian and Pam LambIan and Pam married at King's in 1988Since then Ian has been involved almost continuously with the youth group and they both worked with the church students for a few years. Now they have close contact with some of the church's 20s-40s and their friends. Pam helps to lead the mother and toddler group.
 Pam trained as a classical ballet dancer and works as a freelance makeup and hair artist, mainly at the Royal Opera House. Ian is a chemist with many interests, some of them noisy, fast or sporty. Sometimes Pam lets him toil long hours in the garden on her 'grand plan'.

Neil and Judith Suggett

Neil and Judith SuggettNeil and Judith have been Christians for thirty two years and twenty five of those have been spent worshipping  at King’s Church Amersham.
They met when they were training to be teachers and have  been married for thirty eight years and have three grown up children and two grandchildren.
Neil has recently retired as a Head Teacher but is still an Executive Coach. Judith has retired from both teaching and eleven years as King’s Church Administrator to care for their grandchildren two days a week.
 Neil and Judith co ordinate the work of Focus Groups at King’s Church.
