Edward and Mary Odame

Dear Friends,
NEWSLETTER OF EDWARD AND MARY
Once again I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As the year is about to come to an end, it is just nice to inform you of things happening in our various ministries and how you can also pray to support us now and the coming year. May His grace be with you.
First, I thank all of you for supporting us with prayers, practical love and moral encouragement. These are factors that have really helped us to continue the work of the Lord. We pray that such amazing love will continue in the coming years. God's work requires unity, love and understanding. Therefore without your imput the work we are doing in Ghana would have suffered a big jolt.
Secondly, all the King's churches have had their Annual Harvest. The Lord showed His goodness to us at South and we are grateful. We want to use it to start the first floor which will be the main worship centre. Please pray that God will provide abundantly so we can finish it at the right time.  In Ghana, some church buildings take too long to complete but we are trusting the Lord to be faithful to us because of His promises. Each of the other King's churches is also working on a similar project and we know the Lord will establish His work through the provision of these worship centres.
Thirdly, we have finished all the preliminary work on the Bible school. All the teachers are ready to offer their services so we hope to have a good time with the second batch. The target is ten students. The first month of 2009 will be a revival period. We have invited four different speakers with each taking one week. Some of the highlights are fasting, prayer, word and deliverance. The theme is ''Lord, do something new in my life'' and I believe this is an appropriate theme for the beginning of the year.  All the other King's churches will organise a similar programme and we are trusting the Lord for a powerful spiritual encounter resulting in salvation, healings and miracles.
Fourthly, last Sunday, Nympha's wedding was wonderful.  A lot of people were in attendance and we had a great time.  Thanks for your prayers. Nana is with us. She arrived from Britain on the 12th December and we are having a good time together as a family. The Lord has been good to us by providing partners for the first three of our children and we know the same good Lord will provide for the remaining three when their time is due. We are always delighted to hear you intercede for the family concerning blessings, protection and God's favour.
Lastly, we thank you for your prayers about our elections. Everything went well except that there will be a run-off for the presidential one on December 28th because there was no clear winner. Though our attention will focus on the impending elections on the 28th Dec 2008, we will do our best to celebrate the love of Jesus because that is what we live for.
From all indications, this year has been very good and it's all because of the faithfulness and love of God which binds us together as a family.  We pray that even greater things will happen during the coming year. May the Lord bless each one of us and also make us an instrument of blessing.
May I end by wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Your dear friends in the Lord,
Edward and Mary.
